The disturbing scenes being shown on live television of protests in support of Hamas and the Palestinians are dominating Fox News and other conservative news outlets lately. Social media influencers have loaded platforms with their personal takes, both for and against the young, indoctrinated misguided students and faculty, and the conservative caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives took a field trip to Columbia University.
It’s all politics. Don’t forget it’s an election year. Also, remember that the students represented are a small percentage of the student body, and most don’t even know what or why they’re protesting. There is an element of paid provocateurs who have learned to make a nice living, going from BLM riots and CHAP zones to college campuses.
Where students have tried to protest at public universities, their efforts have been quickly thwarted in places like Arizona State University, University of Florida, and others, but at places like Columbia, the faculty, staff, and administration have joined forces with the students, emboldening them, and the unrest and property destruction continues. Scenes like these will continue through the year.
