There’s been a great deal of talk about UNITY. Makes sense, especially in these times that Americans come together as ONE. Many of us grew up in the Reagan era, when PATRIOTISM was a thing. Seems we lost that over the last 30 or so years. Donald J. Trump has made it cool to be patriotic again. America is in the depths of a political divide to the likes⏤of something we’ve never seen before. Sure partisan politics are a norm for DC, but you can’t say that this is business or politics in this case, as usual. The Socialist Left has tried their damndest to remove Trump by hook or by crook. So far, they’ve failed. But not for lack of trying. Let’s get back to that unity. We’ve seen this story play out before. Our ambitious trainee programs for foreign students eager to learn, and in some cases eager to shoot up our troops. Secretary Defense Mark Esper downplayed any initial impact on U.S.-Saudi ties. Asked whether he would now hesitate to send U.S. forces to Saudi Arabia, he said, “No, not at all.” He said the U.S. and Saudi Arabia have shared security interests, especially with regard to Iran. The Saudi student who fatally shot three sailors at a U.S. naval base in Florida hosted a dinner party earlier in the week where he and three others watched videos of mass shootings. The shooter opened fire inside a classroom at the naval base killing three people and wounding two sheriff’s deputies, one in the arm and one in the knee, before one of the deputies killed him. Eight others were also hurt. Both deputies were expected to survive. This story has wide reaching implications regarding our trainee programs and relationship with Saudi Arabia. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) affects around 3.5% of the U.S. population, approximately 8 million Americans every year struggle from the implications of PTSD. Trauma is almost always unexpected, and it wreaks havoc, often times unknowingly to people who are simply living their lives. PTSD can happen to anyone. It is not a sign of weakness. A number of factors can increase the chance that someone will develop PTSD, many of which are not under that person’s control. Dr. Eugene Lipov has been working on the front lines to find answers, he has pioneered adaption of a sympathetic block in the neck called Stellate Ganglion Block (SGB) for treating PTSD. Considering current efficacy of PTSD treatment is under 30 percent, using pharmaceuticals and psycho therapy, SGB’s success rate of 85 percent is a major game-changer. By defining PTSD as a BIOLOGICAL injury, it changes the whole entire aspect of it. When we go though repeated trauma, no matter the cause, the brain starts to think its the new norm. Army Maj. Mathew Golsteyn, Special Warfare Operator Chief Edward Gallagher, and Army 1st Lt. Clint Lorance. Army First Lt. Clint Lorance, who in August 2013 was found guilty on two counts of second-degree murder for ordering soldiers in his platoon to open fire at three men on a motorcycle in southern Afghanistan in July 2012.
