In this episode, I interview former House Representative Diane Black about current issues affecting our nation. Diane has over 40-years of experience in the healthcare field and she served member in the Tennessee state senate, 2005-2010 and was elected as a Republican to the 112th and three succeeding Congresses (January 3, 2011-January 3, 2019) before retiring in 2019. My conversation with Diane covers a number of issues including her long battle against legalized abortion, her thoughts about the coronavirus, and the current atmosphere in Congress. The extreme changes Americans are experiencing to everyday life, will probably have lasting consequences for decades to come. It was America’s good fortune to have really far seeing intelligent men rise to the occasion and form a government of Confederation, one that soon failed, before a Constitutional government solved the inherent problems of defining what really is a ‘democracy.’ Representative government, not a democracy, was the result. We see the ongoing disputes today, the argument, the debate of the Electoral College and the cries to remove it at once – and go with a Popular Vote. These coastal communities of NY and CA have been heavily indoctrinated, brainwashed that they need the government – to hold their hands, to enrich the few, at the expense of the many. There’s been a great deal of talk about UNITY. Makes sense, especially in these times that Americans come together as ONE. Many of us grew up in the Reagan era, when PATRIOTISM was a thing. Seems we lost that over the last 30 or so years. Donald J. Trump has made it cool to be patriotic again. America is in the depths of a political divide to the likes⏤of something we’ve never seen before.
