Challenging the Electoral College | More Senators have joined Senator Josh Hawley; about a dozen senators and dozens of representatives from the House are going to challenge electoral votes during the January 6 Joint Session of Congress. “America is a Republic whose leaders are chosen in democratic elections. Those elections, in turn, must comply with the Constitution and with federal and state law,” a joint statement was released from the group. The group demands an Electoral Commission be established, with full investigatory and fact-finding authority for an emergency ten-day audit of election returns in the disputed swing-states. The next step would be to convene a special legislative session to certify any change in their vote. “Accordingly, we intend to vote on January 6 to reject the electors from disputed states as not ‘regularly given’ and ‘lawfully certified,’ unless and until that emergency 10-day audit is completed,” the statement said. Whether you see this as civil unrest or outright domestic terrorism, one thing is for sure, America’s cities have changed rather dramatically. With movements like defunding the police and rogue politicians, allowing criminals to roam freely while terrorizing citizens,⏤our cities’ quality of life is fast deteriorating. Boarded up businesses and vandalized buildings are eyesores that have become commonplace among city streets. You might have seen one of the more recent reports of social media abuse when Twitter released a statement saying that it will be removing posts that contain what it deems harmful or misleading on stories about vaccines. “Under the new rules, Twitter said it would remove tweets that suggest vaccines are used to cause harm to populations; false claims that have been widely debunked about the adverse impacts of receiving vaccines; and posts that suggest Covid-19 isn’t serious and therefore doesn’t warrant a vaccine,” the Wall Street Journal reports. This month, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube announced a series of policies to block or limit the spread of what they consider conspiracy theories. YouTube now bans videos that support the QAnon theory. In October, the Justice Department filed an antitrust lawsuit against Google, alleging the company of abusing its dominance over smaller rivals by operating as an illegal monopoly. “The Google of today is a monopoly gatekeeper for the internet,” the complaint says. “For many years, Google has used anticompetitive tactics to maintain and extend its monopolies in the markets for general search services, search advertising, and general search text advertising — the cornerstones of its empire.” According to a […]

2020 has certainly proved one of the most challenging, damaging, unusual, and influential years in our lifetime. On this special two-hour episode of Viewpoint, Michael Johns joins Malcolm in a very thorough assessment of the year. They begin with a review of the Ukraine-related impeachment attempt against President Trump, which proved a groundless and partisan undertaking based on no identifiable underlying high crime or misdemeanor that warranted it nor any clear evidence of unwarranted dealings with Ukraine. The impeachment proceeding, which concluded with the president’s exoneration by the U.S. Senate on January 31, also proved hugely distracting at a moment when Washington policymakers should have been dealing with the real crisis on the horizon, the emerging global pandemic in Wuhan, China. President Trump acted on this promptly in early January, attempting to get U.S. public health experts into China and then later implementing a travel ban against China, limiting Americans’ exposure to the pandemic. As Americans are on lockdown in many states, the borders will be open under a Biden administration. The borders right now are being taxed beyond belief. As our agents struggle with the CCP virus, they now have another challenge. As soon as the criminals thought Biden would win (he won’t) illegals and caravans are headed our way. The censorship of this story on social media is another reason to cancel 230. Call you legislators. Tell them to repeal 230, the law that allows for no oversight on social media.
