Have any of you played Buzzword Bingo? That’s where you sit in a meeting with a list of corporation buzzwords. The first to check off all of their buzzwords wins. It’s one way to make meetings more interesting. One thing that frequently happened when I was in corporate America was policies that seemed to have little purpose but to make our lives miserable.
After finding out there would be another set of such policies, someone would say, “The beatings will continue until morale improves!” Funny, though, morale never seemed to improve. That seems to be the way today, at least when it comes to public policy.
Rules and agendas seem bent on making the lives of the American people miserable. Then, the more people complain, the harder the rules are enforced. It’s almost as if those in government are saying, “The beatings will continue until morale improves!” From transgender policies to gun control regulations to the climate change agenda, the policies just seem to make our lives miserable.
