Many Voices, One Freedom: United in the 1st Amendment

The American people, through ignorance and apathy, have lost their love for their rights and liberties. Our rights are trampled daily by governments, universities, the media, and businesses both large and small. Yet the vast majority of Americans not only bow to the pressure to relinquish their rights, they frequently ask for them to be taken. What are we to do?
Since 2014 Paul Engel has been helping everyday Americans read and study the Constitution of their country and teaching the rising generation to be free. In this program, Paul uses news and current events as a springboard to help explain the Constitution and encourage others to stand up for their rights, their children’s rights, and those of the nation.
The goal of this program is to help everyday people defend their rights by reading, studying, and understanding the supreme law of the land, the Constitution of the United States of America. Author and speaker, Paul Engel has spent more than 20 years studying and teaching about both the Bible and the U.S. Constitution. That experience helps Paul explain difficult concepts in a way most people can understand. As one manager described, “Paul can take the most complex idea and explain it in a way my grandmother can understand.”

There’s a saying for what some in politics are doing today, “The ends justify the means.” I prefer a more blunt appraisal, “By hook or by crook.” Today, I will look at some of the crooked executive orders President Biden recently signed. Then I’ll look at some of the other crooked things coming out of Washington.
After signing the Declaration of Independence, Benjamin Franklin said, “We must all hang together or, assuredly, we shall all hang separately.” Sage advice, especially in 21st century America. As we look into the maw of an ever-growing and all power government, we too must hang together, or we shall assuredly hand separately.
What happens when we continue to feed the government at all levels and don’t enforce the boundaries we’ve place around them? Like kudzu in the south, government grows until it overruns everything it can. Today we’ll look at several instances of governments going too far and what can be done about it.
There has been a lot of news lately about the reaction to the new election laws in Georgia and Texas. Let’s see if we can weed through some of the hyperbole and disinformation, and find a little constitutional truth in all of this mess. Image Source: CNN Video frame
I’m often asked the question, “Does the Constitution even matter anymore?” Today I want to look at some examples to see if the Constitution matters, and how we can help to restore it to its proper role as the supreme law of the land.
