Police brutality vs criminals and thugs taking advantage of the system is the subject matter of this podcast. President Trump spoke out against Washington Gov. The movement to ‘defund the police’, all across America⏤has taken on a life of its own. In some cities, elected leaders appear to be losing their minds⏤as protests, riots and destroying the local town center and defacing statues and monuments is become an all too common theme as people get swept up in the moment. The ‘defund police’ movement is not new, but it has grown in popularity in the wake of civil unrest triggered by the Minneapolis police officers killing of George Floyd. Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Seattle and Nashville, residents are asking for their city councils to redo their annual budgets — most of which must be adopted by June 30 — with less money for police departments. In a statement; Attorney General Bill Barr said the Justice Department intends to prosecute anyone who crossed states lines to instigate violence. “With the rioting that is occurring in many of our cities around the country, the voices of peaceful and legitimate protests have been hijacked by violent radical elements.
