It’s the New Year, and the hosts of After Dark are humming the lyrics to “Feeling Good,” a 1965 song made famous by the jazz Great Nina Simone.
“Birds flying high, you know how I feel
Sun in the sky, you know how I feel
Breeze driftin’ on by, you know how I feel
It’s a new dawn
It’s a new day
It’s a new life for me…
And I’m feeling good…”
The hosts aren’t the only ones feeling good. The American people and the global community are also feeling good that on January 20th, the dawn of a new day begins with Donald John Trump becoming the 47th president of the United States. Finally, normalcy will be restored.
The warfare against the American people will end, and the rule of law will be paramount. The southern border will be closed, and a wall to keep out illegals invading our homeland will come back. Those who came here illegally because of Joe Biden’s lax border control will be deported!
This is just the beginning.
Government workers who have been “pretending” to work from home since COVID will be called back into their offices or be fired. No more getting over on the government dime or time.
Accountability will once again exist in our government agencies, and excess spending will end thanks to the DOGE, “Department of Government Efficiency.” Finally, there is a sigh of relief as the adults step back into the room with a Trump Administration.
Now, that will be a great New Year of promise for the American people!
