Join us for the funny and hilarious second interview – or the horrific and unimaginable – story of how our guest, Tom Woloshyn, began his career as a Holistic Healthcare Practitioner. Tom’s story is one that most likely ALL of our listeners can relate to regarding having a horrendous Western Medicine experience. Unfortunately, stories like these are all too commonplace for the majority of people visiting any Western medicine facility.

Yes, Tom and Nichola are laughing and poking fun during this episode because it is an event that happened far in Tom’s past, and he has completely overcome the health issues he was dealing with at the time. However, the reality is that this story captures the ridiculous, absurd, barbaric, and disassociated consciousness that is absolutely pervasive throughout the current medical system.

Let’s break it down:

Many may not be aware that Western medicine has its roots of origin in what is referred to as the Cultus Asclepius. What is the Cult of Asclepius, you may ask? A religious cult that dates back to Greek mythology that considered snake venom to be medicine and that used ritual sacrifice to summon the god Asclepius. The literal translation of the word Asclepius means “to cut open.” (For those who wish to understand more about this cult and the origins of what we know as Western Medicine, please refer to Dr. Bryan Ardis and Dr. Henry Ealey for their amazing research into these topics.)

Tom was placed on multiple doses of antibiotics over a period of months. He received no resolution to his ongoing infection and became so ill from the pharmaceutical drugs he took himself to the emergency room. His thought process at the time was that he was having an “allergic reaction.” Does this sound like a medicine or a poison? Before you answer that question, take a look at the exhaustive list of “side effects” of antibiotic drugs before you answer and keep in mind that there is not a pharma drug that has ever existed that does not list a small novella of harmful side effects.

How appropriate was it for the doctor to put Tom on display naked to a group of interns without any forewarning or consent prior to them arriving in his ER cubby? How appropriate was it for a “physician” to laugh and angrily scold Tom when Tom describes being in such excruciating pain to the point of fainting during a “prostate exam?” Sounds a bit sadistic and/or masochistic.

Thank goodness this story ends well with Tom being introduced to a new way of being, thinking, and healing through natural means that include cleansing and detoxing, working with realigning his belief systems and making radical changes in his diet. Hippocrates was, per history, the first recorded doctor that we know of who is credited with the statement, “Let food be thy medicine and thy medicine be thy food,” as well as “Do no harm” when it comes to the proper ethics and behavior appropriate for a physician. Perhaps we should reconsider these messages as we choose who we want to participate with when it comes to the care of our own health and healing.

The message here in this podcast may be: Stop the madness of participating in and with the Cultus Asclepius of poisoning and cutting and join the side of the Jedi warrior of holistic wholeness and healing. The decision is up to you.
