I don’t know how many of you remember the lyrics of this Joni Mitchell song, “Big Yellow Taxi,” circa 1969. Read the lyrics, and they are so true today. Our RINO legislators have determined that the people can no longer decide the zoning and construction regulations in their community. So they are busy writing bills that all have the same phrase: “Prohibits Counties…”

Remember Florida in 2023, when the Legislators passed the “Live Local” Act SB102, which contains “deleting the authority of local governments to adopt or maintain laws…”
I went to my BCC meeting on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. I told them… I referenced several state bills that contain a very troublesome phrase. This phrase will remove their authority while giving authority to unelected developers who will destroy rural necessary agricultural land.
It is my hope that they do not want rural Jackson County to turn into concrete high-density housing like we are seeing on the peninsula. It is my hope they will contact other rural county commissioners and their association to work together and tell the state legislators to stop dictating how we should live. The more bills passed like this, the less authority you will have until you have none. If they have no authority, why would we pay them? Please let me know what action you will be taking.
It is also my hope that the people moving into Florida are not bringing their “blue” ideas with them. They must pay attention and stay in contact with their local and state legislators.

Make no mistake, the target is our land. The Marxist democrats and RINO republicans do not want us to own land or anything else, for that matter. Remember, Klaus, WEF, “You will own nothing and be happy.”
