It was early in 2020, just a few months into the COVID-19 crisis, when Dr. Mohammad I lqbal Adil found himself suspended from a busy surgical practice at a tertiary medical center in the United Kingdom. There was an immediate loss of civil rights, including equal protection, due process, and free speech.

What was his crime? Public discourse on SARS-CoV-2, its origin, and mechanisms of spread. How could this happen without discussion, exchange of views, and some mutually acceptable path forward?

This week we dedicate the Report to the unbelievable odyssey of this prominent Pakistani-born UK surgeon who has found himself in continual suspension and legal entanglement from practice as a general, colonic, and breast surgeon. He tells the story of how patients in need of general and cancer surgery suffered during brutal lockdowns and closed operating rooms.

Once he took the discussion of SARS-CoV-2 to social media in a series of videos, the Biopharmaceutical Complex was activated, and they moved swiftly through the General Medical Council in an attempt to silence Adil.¹ The professional retaliation and damage to his family was managed, and he became stronger with a louder voice than before GMC action. He has uncovered endless malfeasance and corruption within the GMC and its panels. This is a highly prevalent global state of affairs, as described by best-selling author John Leake.² In response, Dr. Adil has led the formation of the World Doctors Alliance:3

“An independent non-profit alliance of doctors, nurses, healthcare professionals, and staff around the world who have united in the wake of the Covid-19 response chapter to share experiences with a view to ending all lockdowns and related damaging measures and to re-establish universal health determinants of psychological and physical wellbeing for all humanity. WDA represents a diverse range of opinions of health care professionals and does not have a consensus of opinions on the origin of covid-19 or the political ramifications of the lockdown per se. WDA is however committed to debate the causes of harm resulting from the coronavirus act measures and to raise issues that expose harmful medical and life limiting practices detrimental to the well-being of all living men, women and children.”⁴
