You just can’t make this stuff up! Who lives in a 2 million dollar house and then bemoans income disparity? Who postures like they care for immigrants and beg for them to be treated well when really they are concerned about losing millions of dollars? Don’t be surprised by the answer!

All of that should lead us to ask: what’s the number one job of a pastor? It’s easier and harder than you think.

But so is responding to God when he challenges us to step up. Jeremiah heard from God, didn’t want to obey, and later couldn’t stop obeying. Take the next step God places before you, and in all these things, love God and your neighbor.

Pastor Rick Stevens has served churches from Oklahoma to New Brunswick, Canada. He has been a pastor, youth pastor, and church music director. Since January 1997, he has been the pastor of Diplomat Wesleyan Church in Cape Coral, FL. He is married to Jan and has two children and four grandchildren. His most unusual travel experience was visiting the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Station in Ukraine, the world’s worst nuclear power accident site.
