Colonel Mike had the dubious honor of attending the CPAC convention in Washington, DC, and found it less than enthralling and has not been consistently interesting. Attendance is falling off, the number of booths and tables is fewer, and the main attractions – like Mark Levin – are not the stuff that dreams are made of. One longtime trend at CPAC stays in a steady-as-she-goes, and that is war.
Colonel Mike said the affair had a pretty strong current of Neoconism and support for that useless to the United States money-pit known as Ukraine and the now dead since 1991 alliance known as NATO. The only support for either comes from both parties in Congress, retired diplomats and generals, and other parts of the federal bureaucracy, especially intelligence agencies, and they all know which side their bread is buttered on and none of whom want off of the gravy train that has been running since 1949.
We also discussed a wonderful article by Daniel Oliver – “25th Amendment RIP” (https://amgreatness.com/2024/02/24/the-25th-amendment-rip/ — that is now on the American Greatness website about the death of the 25th Amendment. Mr. Oliver explains that the amendment was adopted after JFK was killed to take care of instances when a president was injured to the point where he could no longer function effectively by providing for a process by which he could be relieved of office.
One avenue for such an action is by a two-thirds vote of each House of Congress in favor of the president’s permanent removal. Almost all Americans have seen Biden wander dazed through his term, unable to speak either clearly or cogently, and tied inextricably to the criminality of the Biden crime family, and yet no move has been made to activate the 25th Amendment. Why?
Well, as always, it is power and money and the red-hot desire to retain both, so nobody in Biden’s court is willing to pull the switch to get rid of him. Indeed, the sycophancy and abiding self-interest of those around the presidential Bozo can be found in three direct quotations used by Mr. Oliver, one each by Yellen, Mayorkas, and Blinken, all of whom swear they find Biden eloquent, well-prepared, thoroughly informed, detailed, farseeing, and innovative when they speak with him about the nation’s national security.
We also took a look at three other China-related issues: (a) China’s growing economic command in America, (b) the increasing number of Chinese military-age males entering the U.S. as illegal aliens, and (c) the great work that is being done on the Chinese threat by the journalist @Michael_Yon, and two of our previous guests on this program, @JMichael Waller, Intel Expert & @Lawrence Sellin / Biological, Chemical Warfare Defense Expert.
