It may seem odd to compare Donald Trump to George Washington, but the two are more alike than they might seem. While George was a genteel Virginian and Donald was a brash New Yorker, both were/are leaders in American Revolutions. George led a shooting war against a distant, recalcitrant, overtaxing, and over-regulating government. Aside from the shooting, that’s exactly what The Donald is doing.
In both cases, the government in question sent armed responses to quell the rebellion. England occupied Boston and shut it down, relenting only when Washington used captured cannons from Fort Ticonderoga to push them out. Unfortunately, they just moved down the coast to New York to continue their oppression.
Trump’s enemies tried to eliminate his Sons of Liberty with the Billy Bush tape. Then they moved on to the Stormy Daniels hush money. Nothing worked. He ran roughshod over their anointed heir to the White House, who required a Get-Out-of-Jail-Free card from Saint James Comey just to make it close. Screams of “Russia” fell on deaf ears, and The Donald moved into 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Just as the English army attempted to defeat the Colonials in battle after battle, the Swamp has attempted to destroy Donald Trump with the death of a thousand legal cuts. First, they hamstrung his presidency with the Russia hoax. When that failed, they turned a simple phone call into an impeachable offense but failed to convict him. When a rally turned into a riot, egged on by government agents, Trump was blamed.
Along the way, the state of New York changed a rape law to allow Trump to be prosecuted for a crime he did not commit against a woman who could not remember when it happened and could not provide a single contemporary corroborating witness. But Trump had to be taken down, so he was prevented from presenting a defense. And the drumbeat continues. Trump cannot be allowed back into power, or he will drain the Swamp.
Donald Trump stands firmly against the Left’s rush to unbridled power. They cannot allow him to succeed. But he has pledged his life, his considerable fortune, and his sacred honor to restore the American Dream: the idea that Americans are free to bust their butts to make a better life for themselves and NOT have it stolen from them by the government.
