On today’s episode of the National Security Hour, Colonel Mike and Dr. Mike speak with Mr. Luis Quinonez, who was President Trump’s Latino outreach representative during the presidential campaign, which ended triumphantly last week. Mr. Quinonez and his team did a tremendous job in the campaign, as the results show that the Republicans garnered 56 percent of Latino voters, 60 percent of Asian voters, and 70 percent of military veterans.
The latter category would have been greater, but the Pentagon did not send ballots to military personnel serving overseas. Mr. Quinonez reported that Trump’s organization is much better prepared to take over command of the U.S. government than it was in 2016.
Multiple choices for many important appointments have already been listed and vetted, and the final choices will be released when the time is judged to be right. He also said that Americans must have some patience as Trump builds his government because it will take some time to cull the disloyal to America and the incompetent from the federal bureaucracy. He added that it would be especially difficult to turn around the State Department bureaucracy as it appears to be America’s worst enemy both at home and abroad.
Mr. Quinonez also added that Trump is especially focused on ending the chronic mismanagement and the poor treatment of former military personnel by the Veterans Administration.
