Nurses Out Loud host Jodi O’Malley, MSN RN, introduces a new member of the team, Ashley Grogg, MSN RN, and tackles some of the most controversial topics raised during the recent Trump-Kamala presidential debate. From immigration and vaccine safety to late-term abortion and media transparency, these critical issues are at the forefront of national discussion.
The Ethics of Late-Term Abortion
With states like Alaska and Colorado allowing abortion up until birth, despite what the ABC commentators, echoed by Kamala Harris, had to say, we’ll dive into the moral and legal implications surrounding late-term abortion and how it intersects with both women’s rights and the unborn.
Immigration and Border Control
Vice President Kamala Harris has claimed to have traveled the world but has never visited the southern U.S. border. We’ll explore what this reveals about the administration’s handling of the immigration crisis, alongside reports of migrants consuming unconventional food sources like cats and ducks.
Polio Vaccine Concerns in Gaza
We’ll address the debate’s discussion on vaccine experimentation, focusing on the mass vaccination of children in Gaza with a “novel oral polio vaccine type 2” that has yet to undergo full testing
Migrant Crime and Safety
In light of the debate, we’ll examine the rise in migrant-related crime and the challenge of balancing security needs with compassion for those seeking refuge.
Ashley Grogg is a Christ-following wife and homeschool mom of four in Indiana. She is also a master’s-prepared registered nurse and board-certified functional medicine practitioner. Heartbroken by the catastrophic failures with sick care, she left the traditional healthcare system in 2018. She now operates her own business, Wellness Through Awareness, where she educates clients on how to take ownership of their health with a functional approach. In February 2020, just ahead of COVID, Ashley founded Hoosiers for Medical Liberty, an Indiana non-profit focused on legislative advocacy for bodily integrity. Driven by a desire to end unnecessary suffering, she has committed herself to speaking out on tough topics with love and compassion. Recent projects include Mending the Broken Vaccine Safety Net: VAERS and Healing Moral Injury.
