There he is… Hiding Biden has been found alive but not so well.
Ever since contracting COVID-19 and being backstabbed by members of his closest inner circle and then forced to get out of the presidential race of 2024, he’s been held up at his beachfront property on Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Word is he is angry at the turn of events.
Do not doubt he was backstabbed because right before he dropped out of the race, he was on social media saying he was in the race. His staff and campaign manager were making the rounds on Sunday morning shows, saying he was in the race. They also made the case that he and he alone could and would beat former President Donald Trump, his opponent.
Little did Biden or his campaign staff know that behind the scenes, as they were making the case that he was in it to win it, a silent coup was taking place amongst Democrat bigwigs.
One thing led to another, and just as Biden’s team was probably walking off the set of the morning shows and settling down for the day, a memo was being crafted and circulated. That memo, in essence, pulled the plug on his presidential run.
The man who just hours and days before was taunted as the savior of Democracy had it stolen from him. The man whom voters overwhelming voted for during the Democratic primaries was given the old “heave ho” by his political party, which no longer needed him.
Biden was replaced by Kamala Harris, his vice president, who had never won a vote. Her popularity and favorability of winning the presidency are worse than Biden’s. When she ran for the presidency in 2020, she dropped out of the race before the first caucus and primary vote, from fear that she would suffer a horrible defeat at the polls.
She only became his VP because of a pledge he made to put a woman of color on the ticket. His wife, Jill, wasn’t happy with his decision, for she disliked Harris for labeling Biden a racist during the 2020 Democrat Primary.
However, because of Biden’s pledge and former President Obama’s twisting his arm to honor it, Harris was placed on the ticket as VP. Fast-forward: Biden is out, and Harris is in as the presumptive Democrat nominee for the president, though no one voted for her.
Interestingly enough, while Obama forced Harris on the ticket then as VP and now as the candidate for the presidency, he has yet to endorse her as other Democrats have.
Because politics has been moving so fast, Obama could endorse her at any moment, but as of now, it remains to be seen. Maybe he is just hedging his bets.
