From both sides of the political aisle, all Americans should be alarmed by the bill that just passed the U.S. House of Representatives.
Dr. Jay Lehr and Tom Harris are joined by Joseph A. Morris, Chairman of the Board of The Heartland Institute, a national non-profit research and education organization that is one of the most important think-tanks in America. Mr. Morris, who is also the president of The Lincoln Legal Foundation, explains that Bill H.R.1 – For the People Act of 2021, now before the U.S. Senate, is not really for the American people at all. He discusses how H.R.1 threatens the very fabric of American democracy and is simply a political tool being used by the Democrats to bolster their chances of future electoral success.
Besides his role at Heartland, Mr. Morris practices law in Chicago, including election law, and has served for many years as a hearing officer for the Chicago Board of Elections. He presided over hearings held to determine the eligibility of both Chicago’s former mayor, Rahm Emanuel, and its current mayor, Lori Lightfoot, to be on the ballot. Mr. Morris is a former Assistant Attorney General of the United States under President Ronald Reagan.
Join Dr. Jay Lehr, Tom Harris, and guest Joseph Morris in this week’s episode of The Other Side of the Story to learn what is really going on with H.R.1…
