Are you ready for a breakdown in our electricity supply? Is your emergency survival plan all ready to enable when the next blackout happens at minus ten degrees this winter? If not, it’s important to think about all this well before it happens. You see, our increasing reliance on intermittent wind and solar power is weakening the power grid.
Few things threaten our health and security more than losing access to reliable electricity when we need it the most. Just ask the families of the hundreds of people who died in Texas in February 2021 when much of the state was thrust into darkness during one of the coldest periods in decades.
To discuss all this and why it is happening, Tom and Todd are joined today by Steve Goreham, an electrical engineer (master’s degree from the University of Illinois), MBA graduate (University of Chicago), and Executive Director of the Climate Science Coalition of America. Steve is the author of four books on energy, climate change, and sustainable development (see references below), with over 100,000 copies in print. He is also a public speaker, a frequent guest on radio and TV, and an independent columnist.
Steve Goreham has over 30 years of experience in engineering and executive roles at Fortune 100 and private companies, so he clearly knows what he is talking about. Tune in and get the information you need to understand the problems about to unfold and how our society can avoid them.

- Two-minute clip from Michael Moore’s 2020 documentary film, Planet of the Humans, demonstrates that, when you consider how they are made, and the huge volume of toxic waste that is released when they are manufactured, wind and solar power may be the dirtiest and most environmentally destructive energy sources on the planet.
