On April 12, 2022, the World Health Organization (WHO) revealed that its governing body would soon vote on new amendments to its health regulations. The amendments, if passed, made WHO’s Director General Tedros the dictator of global health crises of any kind for all nations, robbing the United States and other nations of their sovereignty.¹

The amendments would empower the Director General to declare health emergencies in any nation without its permission or cooperation based on his own personally generated “early warning criteria for assessing and progressively updating the national, regional or global risk posed by an event of unknown causes or sources…” The Director General need only “consider” that a “potential or actual” risk existed before acting over the nation’s objections.  

The amendments would further empower Tedros to bring within 48 hours the full power of the U.N and all its agencies, as well as outside organizations, to bear on the target nation. This would enable him to shame or coerce any nation into compliance with his edicts, rules, or plans. The World Bank, which is working closely with WHO to empower it,² could also bring financial pressures on the target nation. 

Written and Backed by the Biden Administration

Shockingly, the Biden administration, through the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), is the sole author and chief promoter of the proposed amendments to take over the sovereignty of nations in the form of legally binding³ amendments to the WHO International Health Regulations! And the U.S. virtually assured a positive vote for the measures by obtaining signatures of support in advance from 47 other nations, including the entire European Union, Switzerland, Great Britain, India, South Korea, and Japan.⁴

The Outcome 

The vote would occur in approximately 40 days in Geneva, Switzerland — the week of May 22-28, 2022 — leaving little time for us or anyone else to mount resistance.⁵ But we joined with so many others in raising so much grassroots opposition to America’s sacrifice of sovereignty that globalists ran for cover. The WHO gutted the amendments, keeping the same name and sponsors, and replaced them with relatively harmless amendments. Anyone watching the World Health Assembly would never have known that the WHO came within a day or two of amending its health regulations to make itself the dictatorship of world health. No one would have realized that the dangerous amendments could be revived at any time. It was as if the original threat never existed.

Keep in mind that these amendments are not specifically about protecting against pandemics — they are about any kind of health crisis or emergency that the WHO Director General subjectively verifies for himself. They are amendments to existing regulations that were written in 2005 and approved by the United Nations membership in 2008 and therefore do not require U.S. Senate approval. They remain a threat to global freedom, as does WHO itself.

A Second Front in the War Against National Sovereignty

The U.S. had submitted its amendments on January 18, 2022, and they were kept secret until WHO released them on April 12, 2022, shortly before the vote of its governing body. Meanwhile, the WHO was already conducting a second prong of the globalist attack on national sovereignty — one that now menaces world freedom and national sovereignty. The WHO is actively making treaty-like agreements with individual nations that would surrender all control over global health issues inside their borders to the WHO, making the U.N. agency the “controlling authority” over global health.

On January 24, 2022, without mentioning the extraordinary amendments received a week earlier, Director General Tedros addressed his Executive Committee and the wider world to ask for backing for radical increases in its authority through these agreements, strengthening its authority over global health.⁶ Tedros began by announcing a series of priorities, the final of which was a stunning call for WHO to take over all global health: 

• The fifth priority is to urgently strengthen WHO as the leading and directing authority on global health, at the center of the global health architecture.  [bold in original]

The Director General repeated this priority further in the text: “And the fifth priority is to urgently strengthen WHO as the leading and directing authority on global health, at the center of the global health architecture.”

During his address, Tedros made clear he was thinking expansively — not just about pandemics or other isolated health risks — but about the human condition itself, which he seems to see in a state of emergency and in need of WHO interventions:

The paradigm shift in world health that is needed now must be matched by a paradigm shift in funding the world’s health organization.

We must look to the future. We must raise our eyes, and our ambitions.

What do we want the world to look like in 2030, or when WHO turns 100, in 2048? We will be 75 next year.

We all want a healthier world: a world in which the air people breathe, the food they eat, the water they drink and the conditions in which they live and work nurture health, instead of harming it.

We all want a safer world, in which all countries work together to prevent, detect and respond rapidly to outbreaks and other health emergencies.

We all want a fairer world, in which all people can access the health services they need, without having to make life-and-death decisions between paying for care and feeding their families.

Tedros concluded with a clarion cry for support that could have been the concluding chant by a cheering stadium of adoring authoritarian supporters:

We are one world, 

we have one health, 

and we have one WHO.

Tedros is literally calling for a socialized or collectivized global health initiative under the control of himself as the leader of a much stronger and wealthier WHO, under the U.N. Think of it as socialized health, socialized medicine, and the individual well-being of all people combined in the broadest sense under a single dictator answerable to no government on Earth. What could go wrong?

Remember, the threat continues to grow. The amendments making WHO the dictator of global health can be revived anytime and these treaties disguised as agreements making WHO the coordinating authority of global health are continuing to be developed with nations scheduled to start signing up soon. 

Who is Really Behind Tedros and WHO?

The United States of America was barely stopped from surrendering a large chunk of its sovereignty to the WHO, and its Director General, Tedros, a Marxist activist and rebel from Ethiopia. Tedros is the only non-physician to hold the position, and a stooge of an odd combination of Bill Gates from the U.S. and Xi Jinping, the head of the Chinese Communist Party and the dictator of China. Because of the powers behind Tedros, in 2022 he was re-elected to another five-year term without any opposition. This is the man who ran interference for the Chinese Communists during COVID-19, denying the communicability of the disease, denying its origin in the Wuhan Institute, and standing by while the Chinese Communists shipped the disease worldwide on thousands of commercial passenger flights from China to the world, while China itself shut down all domestic flights and travel to limit the spread of the pandemic at home.

The global predators also include many of the wealthiest and most powerful global corporations and institutions. 

These collaborating predators are the real power behind WHO. They set the agenda for government officials like those at the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) who sponsored the amendments. As we document in our book, all their efforts directly oppose America as the leading independent sovereign nation in the world and instead actively promote globalism and the Chinese Communist Party as the major sources of their escalating wealth and power.

Opposition to the WHO Takeover

Fighting the amendments was a backbreaking month of activity for us and for many other concerned citizens in America and around the world, including James Roguski,⁸ who originally unearthed the amendments. Our column on America Out Loud, “Biden Administration Gives Over U.S. Sovereignty to WHO,” went viral with people spreading it worldwide.⁹ Michele Bachmann, a former Republican member of Congress and an active politician, distributed our column widely and spoke out against the amendments.¹⁰ One recipient of our column was Senator Rick Scott (R-Fl), who fired a shot across the bows of the U.N. agency by proposing new legislation through the Committee on Foreign Relations, “S.4305 – A bill to limit the authority of the World Health Organization on the United States and to oppose amendments to the WHO Constitution that have not been approved by Congress.”¹¹

Our combined efforts were successful. But this momentous threat to national sovereignty was not covered by the media, and instead was denied by the establishment “fact-checkers” — demonstrating that the elite of America and the world are fully committed to the goal of globalism. 

Let’s Claim a Victory

Yes, we can claim a victory — but at the same time, we must use our momentum to raise rather than to relax our vigilance. We must increase our resistance to the global predators and our support for refounding America as a free nation. The globalists really do want to destroy national sovereignty as the last impediment to their world domination. Eternal vigilance is — and always will be — the price of freedom.
