On Tuesday next week, environmentalists will be celebrating the 55th annual Earth Day since its inception in 1970. As usual, climate change, and its evil twin — “renewable” energy that is actually the dirtiest source of power on the planet — is a primary focus of this year’s Earthday.org. This distracts activists from addressing real environmental concerns, such as overfishing in the oceans and pollution of air, land, and water in the developing world.
If mainstream environmentalists were smart, they would have kicked climate activists off the stage long ago. For when the climate scare collapses, as it surely will since it is based on junk science and the public is waking up to the reality that it will leave us broke and freezing in the dark, the scare will drag its allies down the drain with it.
Last week, content creator and podcaster Tom Nelson, co-founder of Gorilla Science and producer of the film “Climate: The Movie,” posted on X, “Over 30 items here: Evidence that the climate scam is collapsing.” Here are, in quotes followed by my comments, what I regard as the ten most important of Nelson’s signs of the coming demise of a hoax that has paralyzed governments for decades:
(1) “Bloomberg: “Years of Climate Action Demolished in Days.” Climate alarmist organization Bloomberg has done a wonderful job explaining the actions the Trump administration has taken in its first 52 days to wind down federal government support of the climate scare. Bloomberg is lamenting these actions, while sensible readers will be cheering. If you want a pick-me-up during the holidays, “Years of Climate Action Demolished in Days” is a must-read!
(2) “Delicious straight talk from U.S. EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin: ‘we are driving a dagger through the heart of climate-change religion.’” As Steve Milloy, a scientist and lawyer famous for his website junkscience.com, explained on The Other Side of the Story last week, Zeldin has been tasked with formally reconsidering many of the unfounded EPA regulations created during the Obama and Biden administrations. Hurrah!
(3) “Wonderful straight talk from U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright: ‘𝑁𝑒𝑡 𝑧𝑒𝑟𝑜 𝑏𝑦 2050 𝑖𝑠 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑛𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑒𝑛𝑠𝑒.’ He suggests climate change alarmism is ‘a quasi-cult religion.’” Well, isn’t that refreshing: an energy secretary who is not trying to bamboozle us with irrational propaganda about the benefits of the supposed energy transition!
(4) “NASA GISS funding ‘terminated’: ‘New NASA Chief Will Wind Down Climate Alarm Shop’.” NASA has been hijacked by climate alarmists since 1988 when agency scientist James Hanson testified to Al Gore’s U.S. Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resource to jump-start the climate scare in North America. Let the space agency return to what it was created for — exploring space and pioneering aeronautical developments.
(5) “In recent months, lots of companies have been abandoning climate goals. Air New Zealand is one example.” And related to this, “Huge: A powerful climate alliance of the World Economic Forum, major companies, the UN, and banks is at an end.” Good! We want our companies to do what they do best — generate profits by making superior products.
(6) “Michael Mann is now losing in court to Mark Steyn.” To understand why this is important, have a look at the following created by the leading Christian freedom-oriented group, Action4Canada:
(7) “Joe Rogan, with his huge audience, was a full-on warmist in 2018 but now routinely scoffs at the climate scam.” Calling his audience “huge” is an understatement. His podcast, The Joe Rogan Experience, boasts 14.5 million followers on Spotify alone, making it the most popular podcast on the platform. Rogan also has in excess of 16.4 million YouTube subscribers and 18.9 million Instagram followers. His podcast attracts over 11 million listeners per episode and 200 million monthly downloads. Not a bad ally to have on our side, eh?
(8) “Greenpeace was just hit with a $667 million judgment.” Will that end this destructive group? Let’s hope so.
(9) “Shellenberger/Pielke Jr: “Climate change is going to fade from view like overpopulation did…Lack of protests over Trump’s action on energy shows how little anyone ever really cared about global warming.” This correlates well with the results of the UN poll, “My World,” which put climate change at the very bottom of the list of what the public thought the UN should concentrate on.
(10) In Europe, at least three things show the climate scare is dying:
“The Tories have ditched Net Zero by 2050.” UK Member of Parliament Andrew Bowie said point blank, “We’re not going to be held by the arbitrary target of Net Zero by 2050 because it’s driving away investment, costing jobs and leading to the deindustrialisation of this country.” Bravo, Mr. Bowie!
“Britain’s banks are quietly distancing themselves from Net Zero commitments.” The Heartland Institute UK/Europe reported on X, “Barclays and NatWest have removed climate targets from executive bonuses, signalling a common sense shift in priorities.” Great!
“EU exploring weaker 2040 climate goal.” Politico reported: “EU Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra is considering options to soften the bloc’s 2040 climate goal as he tries to contain a backlash against Europe’s climate ambitions.” When even the European Union is waking up to energy realities, you just know the climate scare is starting to spiral down the drain.
Nelson’s concluding paragraph sums up these wonderful developments perfectly:
“After discovering so many massive, high-profile COVID lies in recent years, large numbers of people are asking themselves, ‘What else are they lying about?’, and the answer is ‘just about everything. Elites tried for the Great Reset, but they got a Great Awakening.”
It’s about time!
