I have been muzzled for the last two months. I have been instructed not to speak freely and not to speak my mind to friends, verbally or in writing, on the internet, in media, or in personal correspondence. I have been told to preserve all my papers, my emails, my letters, and records of phone calls, as well as all internet transactions. I have been instructed to await legal service — the action of being officially informed of this legal suit. The lawsuit is already formally filed with the US District Court in the Western Region of the State of Virginia.1
Although I have done nothing wrong, and my husband Peter R. Breggin, M.D. has done nothing wrong, we have had a lawsuit filed against us, falsely accusing us of defamation and demanding $25,350,000.
That is 25 million dollars.
Remaining silent as this suit works its way through the legal process is generally the conservative and expected advice from legal counsel. Getting a resolution can take years. I have complied to this point with our attorneys’ advice because I respect their opinions and experience. But there are larger issues here than what is best for us.
I have also been afraid. I have been deeply fearful and have tried my best to comply while I struggled with my fear, my confusion, and my anger over being muzzled, my heartbreak about the manipulations and fear I have seen around me. I have wrestled with my burning desire, to tell the truth about what is happening to me, because it affects us all, especially those of us who are speaking out about issues of freedom, of good health, free speech, the dangers of the COVID catastrophe, and of the traditional rights and responsibilities of free Americans and citizens from all countries seeking freedom.
I have finally concluded that I would rather be afraid as I exercise my God-given rights and responsibilities as a free American than to be muzzled, afraid to speak the truth.
The experience of being muzzled has given me a renewed appreciation of America, traditional American values, and the freedoms we all have traditionally enjoyed. I have always had every respect for American jurisprudence and the Rule of Law.

Who brought this suit? Was it the US Justice Department or the Centers for Disease Control, or was it, Klaus Schwab or Tony Fauci?
No…. A 25 million dollar defamation lawsuit has been brought against my husband and me by Robert W. Malone, MD.
The suit has been brought against my husband and me, who have between us more than 110 years of public reform work.2 Three other entities are named in the suit.
What were we doing? What in the world have the Breggins done to deserve a lawsuit demanding $25,350,000?
The Danger of the Diagnosis of Mass Formation Psychosis
We sounded the alarm about the danger of creating a new diagnosis labeling “masses” of humans as psychotic — the informal diagnosis created by Dr. Robert Malone called “Mass Formation Psychosis.3,4,5,6,7 That phrase is Dr. Malone’s creation and is based on the work of his friend Mattias Desmet, author of the book The Psychology of Totalitarianism. While Desmet’s term of Mass Formation attempts to describe what he believes is a sociological phenomenon, Dr. Malone’s term of Mass Formation Psychosis (the psychosis term added by Dr. Malone) is a diagnosis building upon already formalized diagnoses of psychosis.8 The fact that a medical doctor is creating a diagnostic term lends gravitas and further potential for abuse against COVID resisters and other reformers, and any other groups the authorities want to further control.
The term diagnosis is defined as (a) the art or act of identifying a disease from its signs and symptoms and (b) the decision reached by diagnosis. Physicians making a diagnostic pronouncement have a special authority based upon their training and certification.
Because psychiatry as a profession has been used in many countries and during many decades as the “enforcer” of compliance and because we have the documentation and knowledge of this psychiatric abuse in greater detail than perhaps any other person and certainly any other reformer, we felt duty-bound to sound the alarm about this dangerous diagnostic trend of psychiatrically labeling groups of people as psychotic.
To this day, psychiatry is continuing to be used as a weapon to silence those who are trying to exercise their own free autonomy and protect the autonomy and sovereignty of others. We continue to wonder why Dr. Malone is promoting this concept of mass formation psychosis with such fervor.9 It appears that our criticism of this concept is why he is going to such extremes to put an end to our speaking out.
Ironically, our act of raising the alarm on a new psychiatric weapon to silence dissent has resulted in another kind of weapon being used to silence us.
Corona Insanity
One of the first uses of a diagnosis of insanity or psychosis being made about a person resisting the COVID narrative occurred in February of 2020. Dr. Thomas Binder, a respected cardiologist, practicing for 24 years in Switzerland, spoke out against the unscientific lockdowns, mandates, the PCR testing, and more. After posting a blog on his website on the Coronavirus topic, he was reported to the police as a threat to himself and the government.
Citizen Free Press reports, “Two days later, the day before Easter, Dr. Binder was brutally confronted by a total of 60 armed police officers including 20 officers with the…anti-terrorism unit, ARGUS. After examining Dr. Binder’s blog posts, social media posts, and emails, police realized Dr. Binder was not a threat and had no history of mental illness. As a result, police did not issue an arrest warrant. Instead, officers sent an emergency doctor to evaluate Dr. Binder’s mental health status, and he was diagnosed with “Corona Insanity” and then placed in a psychiatric unit.”
Psychiatric Drugs as a Tool to Silence Critics
Dr. Binder was forced to take a psychiatric drug — a neuroleptic (also known as an antipsychotic) that is the strongest class of psychiatric drug available as a condition of his eventual release.10,11 This was, of course, a huge violation of Dr. Binder’s human rights, civil rights, and medical autonomy, and personal safety. Antipsychotics are extremely dangerous and expose the “patient” to serious and potentially permanent disfiguring and disabling side effects.12
Likewise, psychiatry has a long a sordid history of being smack in the middle of controlling individuals and groups of people that the powers that be do not like. One of the most shocking examples of psychiatry leading the way in oppression was the role of psychiatry in Nazi Germany, which led up to the murder of more than 6 million Jews and others who were considered troublemakers or outcasts.13
Legal Actions as a Tool to Silence Critics
Now a different weapon has been drawn. A legal action threatens to bankrupt and impoverish the targeted reformers if they do not shut up. The other entities will need to speak for themselves, but in my opinion, this suit is aimed at shutting up our criticisms of Dr. Robert Malone’s theory of mass formation psychosis.
We do not know how many other people have been intimidated into silence, but we know it is happening to others. If but a few begin to go public, the power of his unfounded legal threats will evaporate. He will have to stand toe to toe in public debate.
Why Dr. Robert Malone is so intent on suppressing a debate on mass formation psychosis and other matters of public policy and Constitutional freedoms remains uncertain. Dr. Malone did publicly announce he would like to be appointed into a high government position. This announcement was made months ago to Steve Bannon during a live War Room show.14 Dr. Malone is now also bringing out his long-promised book. And Dr. Malone is just launching his next organization: The Malone Institute.15
Dr. Malone has experienced his share of criticism in the past, both from the legacy media16,17,18 and from the reformer community.19,20,21 As a result of the Washington Post coverage, Dr. Malone sued that newspaper.22 He also went after Alex Berenson in his Substack after Berenson challenged him on FOX news.23,24
Our last column before the defamation lawsuit was filed was about Dr. Malone’s attacks upon leaders in the freedom movement, such as Dr. Peter McCullough and Dr. Harvey Risch, and an organization of which they are a part called The Wellness Company.25
Most recently, Dr. Malone is attacking Stew Peter’s life-saving new film: Died Suddenly, and by association, the brave physicians and other professionals who provided the vital data in the film. In this attack, Dr. Malone joins the Big Tech social media censors.26,27 On his Telegram, Dr. Malone says: “Died Suddenly” Is Typical Trash from Stew Peters….”
Our world needs more discussion, conversation, argument, dissent, investigation, and increased awareness, not less. No single human being is going to dig us out of the dangerous and increasingly deadly situation we all find ourselves in. We need many leaders, many scientists, many points of view. We all wish, perhaps, that there was a single unified movement that would lead us to safety. There is no superhero, no super world council to save us. That kind of concept only works in the movies.
What we need is an alert and aware citizenry adding their voices to the cries for investigations. We all must be heard. Speaking out, speaking up, disagreeing, questioning, all of that is part of citizenship and the making of public policy and, for that matter, the evolution and development of science. Public policy and science benefit from the sunshine of transparency, examination, and exposure. Using serious legal actions such as cease and desist demands and lawsuits alleging defamation need to be reserved for genuine egregious actions, not as a tool to silence critics or any other individuals within our outside the movement for regaining health freedom and fundamental human liberties in America and in the world.

I’m a family doctor with formal training in psychiatry and I have always valued Dr. Peter Breggin’s writings on the harmful motivations an effects of psychopharmacotherapy. The Malone suit saddens me because 2 camps crucial to the repulsing of the medical tyranny juggernaut are fighting against each other. Although I disagree with the Breggins that the Desmet analysis of an obvious mass hysteria phenomenon has no utility in understanding our perilous slide towards totalitarian technocracy, I also can’t quite fathom why Malone regards the Breggins as his 25M Nemesis. If there is a back story I’d be curious to learn what it is. Otherwise, having defended myself against genuine defamation without a counter suit, I feel this personal battle is about splitting hairs and unfortunately serves no purpose other than weakening the causes of medical freedom, scientific integrity, and freedom to speak and think one’s individual ideas.
And what do I think should be done? All should recognize wisdom from wherever it may spring. I have read much of your works, and I cannot find great fault with either. They are not the whole story by any means, but they are very valuabIe contributions. I am troubled that you four are now having a brawl in the public square, while those behind this Plandemic laugh up their sleeves. I don’t understand why you have failed to work this out in private.
Peter, you are not acknowledging that Robert contacted you and tried to work this out by peaceable means. Are you saying that he did not try to do so? Are you avoiding a discussion of the meat of his suit because the lawsuit is in process, that is, are you still muzzled? If so, you should say so…and perhaps reconsider going public if you are bound to leave out important details.
I have read the actual lawsuit language filed by Malone as he publicized it (it looks complete, but I have no way to tell if there may be things he did not disclose, or cannot disclose at this stage). Most important, the points that are raised in the suit as released have to do with purported slander against his good name, and he seems to feel that you have justified this by naming him as a part of the Controlled Opposition, and much more. Have you treated him with the respect you demand for yourself?
You are right to cite the abuses of psychiatry and be concerned about more, as we are seeing brilliant and innocent doctors like Meryl Nass being subjected to psych evals in order to keep their medical license. This is criminal. One writer sees a future where those who refuse the shots may be “diagnosed” with a psychiatric disorder. That is a problem as well. However, I watched the illustrated video explaining the idea of Mass Formation Psychosis twice, and there were many points which made sense to me, as a layperson. Perhaps they weren’t “medically correct,” or outside the purview of their profession, but I saw valuable insights there. We are clearly being manipulated with fear and misinformation.
Are you saying there is no value at all in what Malone and Desmet said? Is there no room for acknowledging what has value while you critique the rest, whether it is about content or the setting in which it is discussed? Do they as non-psychiatrists have the right to their own ideas, or would you censor them? Can we have a dispassionate discussion of the pros and cons, ala classical science?
In sum, when the story presented by both sides does not come close to matching up, it leaves us, in the bleachers, unable to sort things out or fully believe either of you. I do not think this is a reasoned response, although it sounds like it. The fact that, as a layperson, you find the mass psychosis diagnosis to contain valuable insights, is precisely the reasen the Breggins are so vehemently opposed to the idea. It is precisely that aspect that makes it so dangerous for us all. All the rest are details. Could the Breggins have framed differently? Possibly. Could they have shown more respect? Possibly. But the real question is why a public figure like Malone is going after these two elderly, outspoken professionals. There is nothing in there that even remotely looks like the ‘dispassionate discussion of pros and cons’ you aspire to.

Earlier this year, Jeff Witzeman of Health Freedom for Humanity (HFFH) questioned Malone’s vaccine development project, his ties to DARPA and the CIA, and the fact that he hadn’t spoken out against the childhood vaccine schedule. Two days later, Malone posted a vicious Substack attacking the organization, accusing them of defamation and slander (and “fragging,” specifically defined by Malone as “murder”). He then doxed HFFH’s members and coaxed his readers to contact them.
Witzeman’s name disappeared from the newsletters, HFFH’s voice got quieter and quieter, and a few months later, the organization dissolved.

I had never heard this before about Jeff Witzeman of Health Freedom for Humanity (HFFH). This really alarms me! His connections and the fact that he would coax his readers to contact and attack this group. The more I think on this subject, I cannot see justification for a defamation suit.
If Robert Malone really cares about the freedoms and rights of the people he claims to stand up for, he’d put his Big Boy Pants on and deal with it.
Dr. Breggin stated he offered to discuss it with him and crickets, so Malone had the opportunity to defend his stance and by default, refused.

Malone hasn’t yet written anything on his substack regarding his lawsuit against the Breggins. I’m dismayed, and have suspicions that it’s a SLAPP or similar strategy. There presently seems to be little awareness among Malone’s subscribers and other followers about it.
Malone has posted the entire complaint on his substack. In the section “Statement of Material Facts” it’s hard to find anything quoted there which demonstrates “actual malice”, or justifies the ridiculous amount of “damages” he claims. The lawsuit by Malone certainly does appear to be a SLAPP lawsuit intended to harass and silence the Breggins, and to disqualify Peter Breggin as an expert witness who could testify in future investigations and hearings about whether the “diagnosis” of “mass formation psychosis” is a real “thing,” or is just a totalitarian tactic to silence dissenters. I am a fan of both the Breggins and Dr. Malone, and am not happy with this and related internecine battles — they do nothing but distract from our COVID truth and justice movement.
The issue of whether or not mass formation constitutes a psychosis is transparent and irrelevant to most people, and it is apparent to me Dr. Malone was speaking to/dumbing down for the masses. I have seen no evidence that Dr. Malone in any way alleviated or redirected blame from those responsible for this massive deception; in fact he has been stepping up his attacks against them.
It is also apparent to me that Dr. Breggin, as much as I respect him (and his wife), felt Dr. Malone invaded his turf and chose to respond publicly. That was a mistake, and it hurt the movement. A disagreement such as that should have been handled privately.
But I don’t agree with the lawsuit — surely it is intended to send a message, and it appears that message has been received. At this point I would like to see Dr. Malone drop it, or settle for legal fees incurred. We won’t win this battle by fighting amongst ourselves.
I will continue to subscribe to Dr. Malone’s Substack and listen here to the Breggin’s excellent and very entertaining show. Can’t we all just get along?

It came into my mind in about 1959 while walking on a sidewalk in an American city with commercial and military radio transmitter towers nearby. I’ve thought about that occurrence ever since, puzzling how that thought came from out of the blue because it was a surprise. Although subliminal advertising is illegal in the UK, there’s apparently no law against it in America.

This assumes that warnings of conspiracies are invalid and no one is giving bad advice and directives to government and no one in government is in any kind of secret society or globalist oligarchy and subject to the same. History and a careful examination of it shows that the above view point is not justified and there are plenty of bad actors in charge of the world. It isn’t the satanic psychopath and pervert in society and government that is reviled and sent to the sin bin but more often than not it is the man of truth and moral principle that is held in contempt or worse by the government, MSM and the brainwashed masses. We live in a time when the devil, his children and worshippers are fighting a rear guard action as they seek ultimate power in this world. They fear that a few good people might step up to take it all away for the sake of Jesus, truth and justice. Fear leads to lying and lying leads to murder and worse.
I’m just diving into this as an admirer of Dr. Malone, and finding this situation really, really weird. You say that you’ve just engaged in fair, free speech commentary and questions about him in your high volume broadcasts. But his citations in his defamation law suit with you cite instances where you’re intensely maligning his character and reputation and circulating wild claims about him being a mass murderer, Hitler-esque, an attacker of colleagues, connected to evil military agendas, duplicitous and a liar on a grand scale, etc. Your pieces are picked up by other media keen on vilifying doctors in the health freedom movement as “quacks.” So I can see where his claims of damage by you in your wild, extreme, exaggerated claims re: him are grounded. I’ve seen him disagree, respectfully, with his close colleagues like McCullough, but not undermine those folks cruelly and baselessly like you claim he has. Honestly, the vibe I get here is that something is very fishy about how you’ve gone after him so fiercely, on such flimsy grounds, when he’s been doing such good work and his Substack commentaries are so clear, congruent, intelligent, substantive, of good will, with solid foundation laid and explained and sourced, re: his positions, history, moves in the field, statements he makes and why, etc. The fishy-west piece of all is how you, as a psychiatrist (?!) have gone after him sooo hard for his putting forward the idea, along with Desmet, of America seeming to be under a spell of what used to be (for many decades) called, in textbooks, “mass psychology.” Different name now, as this observation gets fine tuned, but, geez, honestly, as a psychiatrist, surely you must be aware of how valid and real the phenomenon is of mass hypnosis of crowds, mass unconscious conformity that happens under the spell of charismatic leaders & orchestrated messaging campaigns, etc. This really is a form of “mass psychosis,” that’s very real and literal, studied and validly cited over at least a century. It’s happening now with the influence of new technology and media messaging & pervasive influence and orchestrated media campaigns by governments, industrial giants who can buy this messaging and influence techniques, etc. Maybe sociologists understand this more than psychiatrists. Many great books have been written, over many years, on this topic, and it’s kind of self-evident as well as empirically studied & validated. The fact that you’re refuting this well known social delusion effect as Malone and Desmet cite it, is very puzzling. And your conflating the existence of it and the citing of it in operation as mutually exclusive with these guys also knowing that the perpetrators of it are the central parties to blame, pulling in and programming unconscious victims, is very odd and a blatant cognitive bias/straw man argument that I would think someone of your caliber, history, & experience would be way beyond implementing. This is a good man – no real evidence to the contrary. Why the fierce attacks and defamations, what’s the agenda? Has some entity from the real layer of social control and negative agenda gotten to you with payment or threat, to be trying to tear apart this man and sow all this un-grounded speculative doubt about him, riling people up and splitting up this great movement? Looks that way. Will be staying tuned to see if there’s something I’m missing here – but your attacks of him look ridiculous, unscholarly, strange, with very flimsy and odd attempts to justify, so far. Don’t like to see anyone be financially ruined, but it does seem like you’ve been destroying this man’s public reputation and social equity and positive effect, with great damage, on very flimsy grounds, so this is what happens when someone does that. The whole thing with the speculative attacks on him and his good work seem so unnecessary, immature, strange, and destructive to the cause you claim to represent. We have great, deep admiration for Dr. Peter Breggin and Ginger Breggin. We follow them, read them, love them. They will not get intimidated. They are intelligent, very human and great professionals.
malone is a controlled opposition fraud. this lawsuit is frivolous.
Mr. Malone makes no sense at any given time. He said that in autumn 2020 he was reviewing the Covid vaccines for the US government. His conclusion was that they were not safe and alternatives should be made available. A few months later he has two shots of the vaccines that he himself declared to be unsafe.
There is also an interesting co-relation. Peter Breggin announced earlier this year that in his next book, he would like to focus on on the American military. Not long afterwards he becomes very much distracted from this task by Mr. Malone’s lawsuit. Curiously, Mr. Malone used to work for DARPA… Just a thought!

“Mass Formation” seems to mean, roughly, mass hypnotism. This confirms my long suspicions about Dr Malone. I was never 100% sold on this guy. Now I’m writing him off. I’ve read several of the Breggins books and believe in them. My father was a victim of bad psychiatric practise all his life. Absolutely did more harm than good.

Malone was sued himself by the parents of a person whom was on video purported to have died from covid on the stew peters movie because he shared that video . He later retracted that post when he was made aware that individual did in fact not perish from covid or during covid , but was still sued nevertheless.
