Who creates the laws, and who enforces them? Do they work for you, or do you work for them?
George Washington said the future of a republican form of government was dependent on this experiment in self-government. Is America still the Constitutional Republic? Is the power still vested in the people who elect representatives to exercise that power in their name? Or has America devolved into a totalitarian oligarchy, where a select few who rule over the masses? More and more, it is becoming obvious that We the People are ruled by Washington, D.C. rather than ruling over them.
